Selling your home, for whatever reason, can be traumatic to begin with, and even more so if you’re under some kind of pressure to get it done and move on. Let’s turn it around and make you the buyers. Today you’ve looked at three homes in acceptable locations and the right price range but none of them seemed right for you. Why was that? Good locations, good prices, bad impression. The next day you walk into another home and instantly feel comfortable. Your furniture will look great in here. You can do wonders with the master bedroom and the kitchen has more space than you’ll ever need. This home doesn’t overwhelm and smother you with the taste and personality of the sellers. It’s open to your imagination. That commonly translates into: SOLD and of course that’s how you want people to see your home. The key elements of Home Staging are declutter, depersonalize, neutralize and simplify. This puts the emphasis on the home and not the things in the home. This can be accomplished with a minimal investment by you, the seller. That allows buyers more flexibility to envision your home’s potential from their own perspectives and tastes. My job as a professional Home Stager is to evaluate your home and make recommendations and suggestions on how to improve the impression your home has on potential buyers. My services include an initial phone consultation, a systematic decluttering to-do list, an extensive evaluation of your home inside and out including taking pictures. I then provide you with a detailed written report with my suggestions and recommendations. When the work is completed, I do a final walk-through which includes the placement of art and accessories and provide a to-do list of finishing touches. My fee is a flat $300 payable at the time of the evaluation. |
